*Note: The Hebrew word for the word “sanctify” is “qadas,” which means to make holy or to set apart; to consecrate for holy purpose. In Mark 2:27, the word Sabbath means rest and is referring to the seventh day of the week, or Saturday. Notice that Jesus says the Sabbath was made for man and NOT for God. God didn’t need the rest, but, rather, He knew that man would need it!
